Hey there, I'm Hannah.

An artist based in Florence, Italy, and drawing & painting instructor at the Florence Academy of Art. Before I entered the art world, I was a designer, and I built websites for 11 years. I've learnt the hard way how to build a website with as little fuss as possible and I'd like to show you how I do it.

You’ve put many hours of love & labour into your work - it is an investment to create it. I'd like to help you make the most of the tools out there so that you can make the very most of it. An artist website changes the game - you get taken seriously and there’s a place online where your work and story is shown exactly how you want it to be shown.

I'd like to share with you years of knowledge, all my hard-earned lessons, packed into a simple, fun workshop that will save you thousands of dollars in design & development costs. Why? Because it's about time artists had a website as good as any other successful creative business!!

Nice words from fellow Artists

“Hannah took the daunting process of creating my own website (and one which I had been avoiding for years) and made it into an exciting, creative and enjoyable process where she was with me every step of the way. Hannah has deep knowledge about and extensive expertise in building a website and brings her artistic and designer's eye to the look and feel of the site. Hannah helped me create a website that is unique to me, reflects who I am and how I want to represent myself in the world as an artist, and Hannah had many ideas to make my website and me stand out. I am thrilled with my finished website, and Hannah has also equipped me with the skills to make updates on my own. Thank you so much Hannah, for taking me over this mental hurdle and helping me professionalise as an artist!”

Got Questions? I have answers:

  • The course has 3 classes of a 1 hour Online Video Class (held via Zoom) which takes place over 3 Saturdays = 3 hours of live content + Q&A time, plus a 1 hour personal Zoom call to help support you (this is a single support session that can be scheduled with me separately).

That time does not include photographing your work + writing your bio & artist statement, as that timing differs for everyone! But allow approx. 10+ hours to write and build your website in between the live classes.

  • Remember all classes are recorded and you’ll have access for 3 months after the live class to view the content. If that doesn’t work, Send me an email to create@hannahsuttondesign.com and let me know you’re interested - I might add more dates in future.

  • Workshop One: Over three Saturdays of June 10,17,24th

Workshop Two: Over three Saturdays of July 1, 8, 15th

  • Yes - but not from this workshop - there are costs that are involved in keeping a website running that you need to pay a subscription for, and this can include: hosting, domain and email.

These costs can start from about 11 Euros per month for your hosting. All professional websites require you to pay a monthly or annual fee to keep your website running on the internet. Ongoing website hosting & costs is paid directly to Squarespace, which starts at 11 Euros per month. You can check out their hosting plans here. You also need to pay a small annual fee for your domain name and email, if you choose to have one, which costs about 5 Euro a month for email and about 25 Euro for a domain name and depends on what plans you select.

  • This course includes a 1 hour one-on-one session where you can ask me any questions you like. Extra support time can be organised separately at 65 Euro / hour if needed.

While support is limited to this 1 hour session, and Q&A time during the live online classes, if you need any other support

24 hour Website & email technical support is not included in this workshop, but is provided by Squarespace Support as part of your website plan (and their support is always very good!).

  • You can login and get access to content and recordings for 3 months after the live classes.

If you have other questions you can email me at create@hannahsuttondesign.com
