A Group Exhibition Featuring Seven Australian Realist Artists - Hannah Sutton, Troy Argyros, Rob Kelly, Georgina Mills, Surya Murali, Susanna Robinson, Madeleine Shaw.
Supported by AMAA - Atelier Melbourne Art Academy (website)
United by a shared foundation of training at the realist school, the Florence Academy of Art, yet diverging in distinct and compelling directions, seven realist artists from Australia converge with ‘In Stillness’ - an exhibition exploring nature’s visual language.
Each artist brings a unique interpretation of realism, rooted in the classical tradition but shaped by personal experience and contemporary influence. Through painting and sculpture, their works form a dialogue that speaks to both the individuality of vision and the common pursuit of truth in representation. These works reflect a quiet devotion to seeing; a desire to find and express meaning in moments often overlooked.

Hannah Sutton is an Australian classical realist painter based in Florence, Italy.
She paints portraits, still life, figures and landscapes in oils. Working from life, she uses traditional materials and techniques in the classical painting traditions handed down by the Old Masters of the 19th Century.
Hannah is currently Program Director of the 5-week Intensive Course in Drawing, Painting & Art History at the Florence Academy of Art, Italy.
